1. Agreement to Terms
By downloading or using the FranchiseGuide app ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App. These Terms apply to all users, including free, Paid, and Pro subscribers.
2. Description of Service
FranchiseGuide provides AI-powered franchise discovery and research tools. The App generates personalized franchise recommendations, market analysis, and planning resources based on information you provide. The App is an informational service only and does not constitute financial, legal, or investment advice.
3. Not a Broker or Advisor
FranchiseGuide is not a franchise broker, registered investment advisor, licensed attorney, or CPA. Nothing in the App constitutes a recommendation to invest in any particular franchise. You should consult a qualified franchise attorney and CPA before signing any franchise agreement or committing capital. We receive no referral fees or commissions from any franchise brand.
4. Accuracy of Information
Franchise data is sourced from publicly-available Franchise Disclosure Documents (FDDs) and other public sources. While we strive for accuracy, we do not guarantee that information is complete, current, or error-free. Earnings figures, investment ranges, and other financial data may be outdated. Always verify directly with the franchisor. We are not liable for decisions made based on App content.
5. User Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You must be at least 18 years old to use the App. You agree to provide accurate information when creating your account and to update it to keep it accurate.
6. Subscriptions and Payments
Paid and Pro subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Subscription terms, pricing, and renewal conditions are governed by the applicable store's policies. We do not directly process payment information. Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. No refunds are issued for partial billing periods.
7. Intellectual Property
All content in the App — including AI-generated reports, analysis, text, graphics, and software — is owned by or licensed to FranchiseGuide and protected by applicable intellectual property law. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from App content without our written permission. Reports generated for your account are licensed to you for personal, non-commercial use only.
8. Prohibited Use
You may not use the App to: (a) scrape or automate access to App content; (b) resell or redistribute reports; (c) impersonate another person or entity; (d) upload malicious code; or (e) violate any applicable law or regulation. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any particular franchise will be profitable. Your use of the App is at your sole risk.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, FranchiseGuide and its officers, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including any investment decisions made based on App content. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months prior to the claim.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via the App or by email. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
